39th EUROSAI Governing Board Meeting
On May 28–29, 2012, a delegation of the Supreme Audit Office headed by Vice-President Miloslav Kala attended 39th meeting of the EUROSAI Governing Board, which took place in Ankara, Turkey, and later took part at a symposium, which aimed at supreme audit institutions and their functions in the process of securing transparency, credibility, and integrity.

The SAO audited funds earmarked for the construction of the ring road around the capital city of Prague
The audit aimed at funds earmarked for preparation and construction of the ring road. According to the documents submitted by the Ministry of Transport in 2001, the construction should have been finished in 2008 with the length of 83 km and the total cost amounting to CZK 48,229 million. Dne 3. května 2012 přijal NKÚ delegaci expertů a vedoucích pracovníků vietnamského Ministerstva pro plánování a investice vedenou vrchním inspektorem ministerstva. Návštěva vietnamské delegace byla součástí vzdělávací cesty, kterou delegace uskutečnila v institucích v České republice i sousedních zemích.

Seminář se uskutečnil pod patronátem uskupení, které sdružuje nejvyšší kontrolní instituce (SAIs) přistupujících, kandidátských a potenciálně kandidátských států pro vstup do EU a Evropský účetní dvůr.
Granty na výzkum v oblasti evropských financí a externí kontroly
Evropský účetní dvůr a European University Institute vytvořily grantový program věnovaný výzkumu v oblasti evropských veřejných financí.
