In 2011 and 2012, costs of external legal and consulting services for ministries exceeded 2010 expenses by 90 %
The Supreme Audit Office (SAO) audited the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Regional Development, and the Ministry of the Environment and scrutinized purchases of materials made within years 2011 and 2012. Auditors aimed at costs of professional publications and periodicals, office furniture, staff training courses, translators’ services, and external legal and consulting services. Náklady ministerstev na externí právní, konzultační a poradenské služby vzrostly za dva roky až o 90 procent
Nejvyšší kontrolní úřad se zaměřil na nákupy ministerstev průmyslu a obchodu (MPO), pro místní rozvoj (MMR) a životního prostředí (MŽP) v letech 2011 a 2012. Kontroloři porovnávali například výdaje za odbornou literaturu a tisk, nákup kancelářského nábytku a vybavení, školení zaměstnanců, překladatelské služby nebo za konzultační, poradenské a právní služby. Celkem prověřili výdaje za 182,9 milionu korun.
Former President of the SAO František Dohnal passed away
František Dohnal, who served as the 2nd president of the Supreme Audit Office, died at the age of 53 on August 10, 2013. Mr. Dohnal carried out the duties of the SAO’s president from November 4, 2005, to February 20, 2012.
